Easter Crafting

Interested in seeing what crafting looks like in our house? This photo op was the second-funniest thing I have witnessed since my arrival in Vancouver, and as such is a noteworthy addition to the blog. Look at those mad skills.

Hungry Eyes

The house I live in has had a lot of turn over in the last 5 years, and one former housemate (the guy who stayed in my room) has started a project in Peru to provide breakfast one day a week for women and children who attend the public health clinic where he volunteers. I think it's a great cause and something worthwhile to become involved with.

Urban Art

In March I was lucky to be part of an exciting initiative! Yarn bombing. To see a great site with more about yarn bombing as well as some pretty amazing projects, check out this link: http://yarnbombing.com/. Creating this type of graffiti was fun. It was liberating to know that you're contributing resources to a project that is then just released to the city without ever knowing how was received. Sadly our yarn bombing was taken down after two short weeks. I was lucky to be involved with some great careless as well as careful knitters on this project, and the results were fantastic.
